Excerpt: Entrepreneurs are both risk takers and wealth creators. While many of us fall on the way side, some of us create wealth for ourselves as well as for our country. Entrepreneurship, through creation of wealth, is a major means for development. Hence, entrepreneurship development has to be one of the priorities in Jamaica. Government needs to make consistent and concerted efforts to strengthen and revitalize the promotion of entrepreneurship. With shrinking organized job market and growing population of the youth, entrepreneurship has become dire need for our country....

Excerpt: There are a few tips which I would like to share with you today which I believe will enhance your prospects for success should you decide to take the exciting path towards entrepreneurship. Firstly, make every effort to develop your personal network. Networking is as old as the hills, but many entrepreneurs still do not get it right. "It's not about how many business cards you collect" It's about connecting with people to exchange ideas, information and resources to effect change." The best networkers, are good listeners who focus on others' needs.
