The Young Entrepreneurs Association (YEA) was started by the Jamaica Employers Federation (JEF) in 2005. It was officially launched by then Prime Minister of Jamaica, Honourable Percival James Patterson on January 25, 2006.

THE JAMAICA EMPLOYERS' FEDERATION (JEF)represents the views of employers, locally and internationally and has contributed tremendously to the development of Employer/Employee relations within Jamaica. The Federation offers a range of value-added services which support the enterprise development and productivity needs of Jamaican employers.

The Federation was established in April 1958 and registered as a Trade Union under the Trade Union Act of 1919. Through the years of its existence, JEF has been fortunate to have had the sterling contribution from a number of outstanding officers and members.
